At around 9 pm on Friday night, a fight broke out between two groups in a PG in Thana town of Alwar city, in which sticks and stones were thrown. The sudden clash spread panic in the surrounding area. Panicked local people reached the SP’s house and requested for security. On receiving the information, Police Station City Incharge Ramesh Saini reached the spot with his entire team and then took the local people with him.
The students involved in the fight ran away
When the police arrived, the students involved in the fight had fled. Local people said that some youths living in PG often quarrel with neighbors and harass them. He says that these youth neither have police verification nor anyone keeps an eye on them, due to which an atmosphere of insecurity has been created in the area.
People reached SP’s house
After returning from the SP’s house, the local people reached the District Collector’s house after about an hour and lodged their complaint there too. He demanded the Collector to take strict action against the ongoing disputes in the area and take strict action against those running PG. After the incident, the police have increased security and surrounded the area.
The search for the youth has been started.
The youths involved in the fight have been identified and a search has been started for them. A special team has also been formed to investigate the activities of PG. Police say that they will soon clear the matter and take action against the accused.
