Bikaner. Under the aegis of Shabdrang Literature and Art Institute, Bikaner, poetess Krishna Verma’s Hindi poetry collection “Udne Ko Betaab Man” and Rajasthani poetry collection “Hiye Ra Rang Hazar” were inaugurated at Hotel Rajmahal. In the programme, Krishna Verma shared his creations by presenting selected poems from books. Mrs. Verma was honored in the program. The chief guest of the program, economist and satirist editor Dr. Ajay Joshi said that Mrs. Krishna Verma is a sensitive writer whose poems express nature, culture and society. He said that love is the basis of poetry which compels the poet’s mind to create. Chairman of the program, poet-storyteller Rajendra Joshi said that there is women’s discussion and sympathy in the poems of Mrs. Verma. He said that his poems have deep experiences of love and nature and life. There are many compositions on Sawan Bhado in the book. He said that the publication of two books after 73 years of the poetess’s life is commendable. Special guest of the program, senior short story writer critic Ashfaq Qadri said that Mrs. Verma’s poems communicate with time. He said that the poetess has beautifully described the folk colors lost in the race of modernity in her poems.
Program coordinator poet-storyteller Rajaram Swarnkar while welcoming the guests said that Mrs. Verma is a strong writer whose works have been published in newspapers and magazines for a long time. Poet Babulal Chhangani made innovation by presenting a poetic review of the released book “Udne Ko Betaab Man”. Critic Dr. Namami Shankar Acharya, while reviewing the poetry collection “Hiye Ra Rang Hazar”, said that the book is a vivid depiction of Rajasthani culture. While reciting the poem “Aakhateej Ro Khichado”, he said that the book has expressed human relationships with the nature depiction of Rajasthan.
Mrs. Krishna Verma recited her selected poems in the program. While sharing his creative work, he said that he has created creations inspired by cultural, religious, social and folk life. Mrs. Verma was honored by Shabdrang Sansthan. Poet Dr. Prakashchandra Verma also expressed his views. Poet Dr. Nasir Zaidi expressed vote of thanks. Poet Jyoti Wadhwa Ranjana presented Saraswati Vandana. Program director senior litterateur Jugal Kishore Purohit introduced the guests.
