Jodhpur A special lecture on “Dimensions of Social Change” was organized today by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Center for Human Resource Development (CHRD), Rajasthan Ayurved University. Social reform through education and moral values was discussed in this program organized under the chairmanship of Professor (Vaidya) Govind Sahay Shukla, Vice Chancellor of the University.
The main speaker of the program, renowned educationist and scholar of political science, Prof. Sitaram Vyas (Former Head of the Department, Lal Nath Hindu College, Rohtak) threw light on the scientific and social aspects of the changes taking place in the society. He stressed that in the present era, mere degree education is not enough; Positive and permanent change can be brought in the society only by coordination of culture and moral values. In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Govind Sahay Shukla said that intellectual discussion is necessary to increase harmony and awareness in the society. He stressed that sensitizing the youth towards social responsibilities should be the main goal of the university.
Before this, the program was inaugurated by CHRD Director Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma by welcoming the guests. In this intellectual gathering, PGIA Principal Prof. Chandan Singh, Dean Ayurveda Prof. Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Controller of Examinations Prof. Principals and senior members of the Faculties of Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Yoga including Rajaram Aggarwal, Dr. Rajeev Khanna, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Dr. Naren Patwa and Dr. Ajit Singh were present.
The successful staging of the program was conducted by postgraduate scholar Dr. Khushboo Kumawat. Officers from various departments, faculty members and a large number of researchers were present on this occasion.
