New Delhi. French President Emmanuel Macron is about to reach India on a three-day visit. This visit of the French President is taking place on the occasion of India AI Impact Summit. Macron will reach India on 16 February at 11:30 pm, but his tour will start from 17 February. Meanwhile, the French Embassy in India told what impact this summit is going to have on the relations between India and France. The French Embassy wrote on social media platform “Mutual invitations to each other’s AI summits reflect the deep trust in the France-India partnership.” The French Embassy further said, “The visit confirms the strong resolve of our two countries to take concrete steps to harness the potential of AI for the common good. Recognizing the importance of advancing scientific knowledge, research and innovation, and taking forward the long-standing France-India cooperation, President Macron and PM Modi will launch the India-France Year of Innovation, a cross-sectoral initiative.”
The French Embassy said that in this uncertain world, President Macron’s visit will further reaffirm the commitment of France and India to each other’s strategic autonomy as well as upholding multilateralism.
On Tuesday, February 17, at 3:15 pm, he will meet the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at Lok Bhavan. During this, MOUs will be exchanged between the two leaders and joint statements will be issued.
India-France Innovation Forum will be organized at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace at 5.20 pm. Then at 8.15 pm he will participate in the India-France Year of Innovation and Cultural Commemoration at the Gateway of India.
The next day, on Wednesday, February 18, at 1 pm, President Macron will reach Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Then on February 19, we will reach Bharat Mandapam at 8.45 am. Family photo will be taken here at 9.15. Then at 9.40 am Macron will attend the opening ceremony.
Then at 10.40 am he will visit the Country Pavilion. After this, family photo will be taken with the HOSS/HOGS ministers at 11.30. Then at 12 o’clock the French President will also participate in the Leaders Plenary and Working Lunch. He will leave for France at 3.45 pm.
Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs had said that during this visit, both the leaders will discuss strengthening mutual cooperation in many areas mentioned in the Horizon 2047 roadmap. In addition, the leaders will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual benefit, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
Both the leaders will be present in Mumbai to inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation. This event will be celebrated in both the countries throughout the year till 2026. President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi on 19 February.
