Major accident in Nahargarh Lion Safari in Jaipur, sudden fire in a vehicle loaded with 30 tourists

A major accident was averted on Sunday in the world famous Lion Safari at Nahargarh Biological Park in Amer, Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. According to reports, a bus carrying tourists caught fire due to a short circuit.

The fire was so intense that the flames could be seen from a distance. This incident happened when about 30 tourists were traveling in a safari vehicle to visit the forest. Panic spread due to the sudden fire and tourists started running away from the car.

Rescue team took immediate action
As soon as the news of the incident was received, the Forest Department alerted the rescue team on wireless. ACF Devendra Singh Rathod said that the team immediately reached the spot with another vehicle and successfully evacuated all the tourists. Rathore said, “Our priority was to ensure that no tourist was in danger. A major accident was averted by taking timely action.”

Double challenge before the tourist
During the incident, the camper faced the danger of burning from fire and a lion roaming freely in the forest. The tourist told that if they had come out of the car, there was a danger of lion attack and if they had not come out, they could have died in the fire. In such a situation, the rescue team reached the spot and saved everyone safely.

This is not the first accident in Nahargarh Biological Park. Earlier during the safari, a wheel of a vehicle had fallen into a ditch, putting the life of the tourist in danger. These continuous incidents have raised questions on the security and surveillance system of the Forest Department. Tourists say that due to such frequent accidents, people’s interest in the park is decreasing.
