Jaipur. On 23 January 2026, anti-larva activity and insecticide spraying (fogging) was done on a large scale by the Malaria Branch of Municipal Corporation Jaipur to prevent mosquito-borne diseases in the city. This campaign was conducted in both Part I and Part II areas of the Municipal Corporation.


Action taken in Municipal Corporation Part I area: In Municipal Corporation Part I area, Malaria Branch teams carried out anti-larva activity and fogging work at various garbage dumps, garbage transfer stations and drains. Under this, Sevapura garbage dump, Kalwad Road garbage transfer station, Rico Industrial Area garbage transfer station (Mansarovar), Bambala transfer station, Jhalana garbage depot, drain near Hadmada police station and drain of B-2 bypass were included.
Along with this, necessary medicines were sprayed for the prevention of mosquitoes in the dhanis of Sevapura village, especially in Triveni Nagar area.
Campaign in Municipal Corporation Part II area
In Municipal Corporation Part II area, anti-larva activity was conducted in Mathuradaspura garbage dump, Lal Dungri garbage transfer station, drain from Idgah to Chungi and drain of Gujar Ghati Ward No. 11.
Apart from this, Gujarati ki Dhani among the dhanis of Mathuradaspura and Ram Nagar area among the dhanis of Saipura village were also included in the campaign.
Special focus on slums of Hawa Mahal zone
In view of the danger of mosquito-borne diseases in the slums of Hawa Mahal zone, a special campaign was launched. During this period, fogging and anti-larva activity was done in Meena Pada, Mount Road Koli Basti, Nahargarh Harijan Basti, Mohan Nagar, Gator Harijan Basti and Gandhi Colony.
Prompt action was also taken on complaints
Apart from the above places, prompt action was taken on the complaints received from Call Centre, Telephone, VIP Complaint, Chief Minister Residence Office, Rajasthan Sampark Portal and Chief Medical and Health Department in the jurisdiction of both the parties and anti-larva activity and pesticide spraying was done.
According to Municipal Corporation officials, such campaigns will continue in the future to prevent diseases like malaria, dengue and chikungunya. An appeal has been made to the general public not to allow water to accumulate around them and to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation, so that the city can be kept safe from mosquito-borne diseases.
