Jaipur. The State Mines Department is moving ahead with the target of collecting revenue of more than ten thousand crores in the current financial year. Principal Secretary Mines T. Ravikant has instructed field officers to speed up collection from all possible areas of revenue collection in the last fortnight of the month. The department has crossed the figure of Rs 9200 crore in the last financial year and has collected a revenue of Rs 9426 crore with a growth rate of 11 percent. This is about Rs 1,000 crore compared to the same period last year. Is more. He said that the department has prepared a strategy for revenue collection and sent it to the field officers.
Principal Secretary Mines T. Ravikant was holding a meeting of senior officials at Khanij Bhawan, Udaipur on Thursday. He said that at present the state government is focused on setting a new record in revenue collection. According to the departmental strategy, strict instructions have been given for recovery of upfront payment amount of auction blocks of major and minor minerals, premium amount of auction minor mineral blocks, outstanding royalty amount, lump sum settlement scheme, penalty amount of illegal mining activities and other new and old outstanding amount. During the meeting, he also reviewed the progress of automation of weighbridges and vehicle tracking system and gave instructions for the use of departmental modules. Director Mines Mahavir Prasad Meena said that the department is focusing on maximum recovery in potential areas of revenue. He told that soon the figure of ten thousand crores will be achieved.
Additional Director Headquarters Mahesh Mathur said that along with regular monitoring of revenue collection at the headquarters level, coordinated efforts are being made for recovery by coordinating with field officers. He said that this year a new record of revenue collection will be set in the mining sector.
Senior officials of the department including Finance Officer Suresh Chandra, Additional Director Mahesh Mathur, Additional Director IT Sheetal Aggarwal, Superintending Mining Engineer SP Sharma, Mineral Engineer Asif Ansari participated in the meeting.
