Wrong information was spread about the decision – Bhupendra Yadav
Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said, “Aravalli is the oldest mountain range of our country. Recently, the Supreme Court has given a judgment on which misinformation has been spread. I have seen this judgment, and I want to say that under the leadership of PM Modi, the Aravalli hills have actually grown. The court’s decision said that steps should be taken to protect and expand the Aravalli range. The hills have grown especially in Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. We have worked for the green belt of Delhi.”
Mining is not allowed in NCR – Bhupendra Yadav
Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said, “Regarding the court order related to Aravalli hills, the issue of top meter is related to the minimum stage. Let me make it clear that mining is not allowed in NCR, so the question does not arise. The decision also says that no new mining lease will be given. Mining is not allowed at all in the core area of the Aravalli range.”
Only 0.19% area is suitable for mining – Bhupendra Yadav
Giving information on the issue of Aravalli mountain range, Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said, “Out of the total 1.44 lakh square kilometers of Aravalli range, only 0.19% area can be suitable for mining. The rest of the Aravalli range is protected.”
