Modi government gave Dussehra gift to central employees! This dearness allowance has increased so much, know how much salary will come now?

The Modi government has given a gift to the government employees waiting for the increase in dearness allowance before Diwali. The government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 3%. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2025. This increase in dearness allowance has been done before festivals like Dussehra and Diwali.

48 lakh employees will benefit

Central employees will get the arrears of July, August and September with the salary of October, just before Diwali. This rate has increased from 55% of original salary and pension to 58%. This increase will be applicable to all central government employees as well as pensioners and family pensioners under the Seventh Pay Commission. About 48 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners will benefit from this increase. The government amends the dearness allowance twice a year (January and July). This is the second increase in dearness allowance this year. This amendment is expected to be last under the Seventh Pay Commission.

57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas Approved

In addition, the Union Cabinet has approved 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The Union Cabinet has approved 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in 17 states/union territories, which are being included. 20 KV is proposed to open in the districts where there are currently no KV. In 14 KV aspirational districts, 4 KV Vampanti Fergism is the proposal to open in the affected districts and in 5 kV.”

Decision to increase minimum support price (MSP) for rabi crops

The central government has decided to increase the minimum support price (MSP) for Rabi crops. Commenting on cabinet decisions, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The estimated purchase during Rabi season 2026-27 is likely to be 297 lakh metric tonnes and the amount to be paid to farmers on the proposed MSP is Rs 84,263 crore.”
