The politics of Rajasthan is once again hot. There was a conflict between the administration and supporters over Naresh Meena’s fast. The police took action late on Sunday night and broke the fast of Naresh Meena and forcibly rushed him to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. After this action, the entire incident has taken political color.
Naresh Meena was sitting on hunger strike for his demands for the last several days. He said that the interests of the people of the state are being ignored and the government is not listening to their voice. His health started deteriorating due to continuous fast. The team of doctors, after health check -up, clarified that the situation could be serious if they are not given immediate treatment. On this basis, the administration took this step overnight.
A heavy police force was deployed at the fasting site. As soon as the police team arrived, there was a stir among the supporters. Many people shouted slogans and opposed the police action. Despite this, the police made a security cordon and made Naresh Meena sit in an ambulance and took them directly to SMS Hospital. During this, there was also a slight clash between the workers and the police.
When Naresh Meena was brought to the hospital, the doctors immediately examined him. They were drip climbed and kept under surveillance. According to hospital sources, their health is stable, but the body has caused weakness in the body. Doctors have advised them to rest and take a balanced diet.
After this development, the opposition and supporters have questioned the government. He says that it is like strangling democracy to forcibly send people who raise public issues. At the same time, the administration says that Naresh Meena’s health was continuously deteriorating, so this step had to be taken under compulsion.
Several leaders, including former minister Rajendra Gudha, have made statements in support of Naresh Meena. He said that it is the failure of the government that efforts are being made to suppress the agitators by ignoring the demands of public interest. Gudha even said that the government is afraid of anti -voices and hence taking such drastic steps.
On the other hand, the ruling party made it clear that the lives of any agitator could not be put at risk. If a leader ends a hunger strike and endangers health, it is the responsibility of the administration to provide him with timely treatment.
