New Delhi, May 10 (). JDU national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan congratulated TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Along with this, he took a jibe at Congress for breaking the alliance with DMK.
Speaking to , Rajeev Ranjan said, “I wish Vijay all the best and congratulate him for leading the new government. However, the challenges before him are many. During the DMK rule in Tamil Nadu, difficulties increased and corruption reached its peak and the people ousted Stalin’s government from power due to his anti-Sanatan talk. Vijay’s government has been supported by many parties with contradictory views, so he will have to work very carefully.”
On Congress breaking the alliance with DMK and supporting TVK, the JDU leader said, “Despite supporting TVK for years, Rahul Gandhi broke the alliance with DMK for immediate gains. Therefore, Congress has been identified as an opportunist party. Due to Rahul Gandhi’s immature decision, Congress is suffering a lot of loss and this will continue.”
On TMC’s defeat in West Bengal, Rajiv Ranjan said, “Mamata Banerjee had an opportunity during the elections. But, after missing the opportunity, forming a paper alliance will do nothing, because Prime Minister Modi has drawn a big line.”
On the issue of relations between Congress and DMK in Tamil Nadu and support to the new TVK-led government, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal said, “Congress has a habit of constantly betraying all its allies. This is not a new thing for them. They do not get power, so they go after whoever gives them power. But we all saw that Chief Minister Vijay did not even look at Rahul Gandhi. I remember the same saying, ‘Abdullah in a foreign marriage.’ ‘Crazy’.”
