Greater NoidaThe first phase of Noida International Airport, Jewar is almost completely ready and is expected to be allowed to operate soon, Entry points and NIA signage boards have been installed from the airport premises to the surrounding main roads, giving a festive atmosphere in the entire area, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh held a high-level meeting with airport officials and inspected the preparations, Apart from this, arrangements were also taken at the public meeting venue regarding the proposed inauguration program of PM Narendra Modi, In view of the possible arrival of the Prime Minister, the work of arranging German hangar tents, thousands of chairs and leveling the land in the airport area is going on a war footing, The first phase of the airport has been developed over an area of 1334 hectares, which includes state-of-the-art terminals, runways and other passenger facilities, Once operational, the airport will handle flights with an annual capacity of 12 million passengers, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh said that in November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jewar and laid the foundation stone of the airport, In just three years this grand international airport is ready and waiting for inauguration, He said the event would be historic as it marks unprecedented development for the region,
The MLA said, “In childhood, we used to see airplanes flying in the sky, now they will pass around us. The youth had to go out for employment and business opportunities, but now the pace of industrial development has increased. People from outside will also come here for jobs.”
Describing it as the growth engine of UP, he said that the runways and terminal buildings built in parts of the villages have changed the picture of the area. Jewelery is now moving from darkness to light. During the preparations, the problems of farmers were also discussed in detail by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The MLA said that earlier farmers used to get compensation of Rs 1800 per square metre, but the Yogi government has increased it to Rs 4300 per square metre. It has also been assured that some remaining demands of the farmers will be resolved soon. The official date of the Prime Minister’s program will be announced after getting the aerodrome license required for airport operation. The construction of tents, chairs and a stage at the public meeting venue is progressing rapidly, indicating that the inauguration is not far off.
