Bihar Board has started preparations for Intermediate and Matriculation 2026 exams. According to the notification issued by the board, the sent-up examination for both the classes will start from 19 November 2025. Only those students will be able to appear in this examination whose total attendance is 75 percent or more.
Exam will be held in two shifts
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) informed that the examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second shift will run from 1:45 pm to 5 pm. In each shift, students will be given additional time of 15 minutes to read the question paper.
Special facilities for visually impaired students
The board has made special arrangements for visually impaired students. Such students will be able to take the help of scribe during the examination. For this, the application process will have to be completed as per rules at the school level.
Mandatory to pass sentup exam
The board has clarified that passing the sentup exam is mandatory. Students who fail or are absent in this examination will not be allowed to appear in the Main Examination (Final Board Exam). Therefore, schools have been instructed to prepare for the examination seriously.
Last date for submission of results fixed
Bihar Board has directed the schools to submit the results of centup examination to the board office within the prescribed dates.
Intermediate exam result by 5th December
Matric exam result till 2nd December
Action can be taken against schools that do not adhere to the deadline.
Instructions issued to schools
The board has sent letters to all the schools and colleges and instructed them not to take any carelessness in conducting the examination. Security and transparency of question papers should be ensured at all centres. If any irregularity is found during the examination, the recognition of the institute can be suspended.
Speed of preparation increased among students
After the announcement of CENTUP exam, the pace of preparation among the students has increased. Teachers have also started making students practice as per the board pattern. In many schools, the preparation of students is being tested through mock tests and model question papers.
