On PM Modi's birthday, Governor and CM started 'healthy women, strong family' campaign in Jharkhand

Ranchi, 17 September (). Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren have described the nationwide ‘healthy women, strong family’ campaign on Wednesday on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an important initiative towards nation building.

Addressing the state -level program held at Sadar Hospital in Ranchi on the occasion of the onset of the campaign, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said that India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made significant progress in social, economic and cultural fields in the last decade.

He said that “Healthy women are the foundation stone of a strong family and only a strong family creates a strong India.” The Governor said that under this campaign, health check -ups and awareness camps will be organized from Ayushman Arogya temples to district hospitals of Jharkhand. He called upon the public representatives, health workers, panchayat members, self -help groups, Anganwadi servants, Sahia Didis and the media for active participation in it.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren also wished the Prime Minister a happy birthday and said that this campaign is a big step towards the health and empowerment of half the population of Jharkhand. He said that there is a continuous campaign to deal with challenges like anemia and malnutrition among women in the state and screening is being done on a large scale. The Chief Minister said that today women are moving forward step by step with men in every field including education, sports and space. The state government is also running several schemes for empowerment of half the population.

She expressed confidence that healthy, nurtured and safe women will not only lay the foundation of a strong family but will also play an important role in the progress of the state and the country. Soren said that if half of our half is strengthened in educational, economic and social form, society, state and country will move forward. The program was attended by Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and many important people were present.
