Ambala. Haryana Congress affairs in-charge Sanjay Dutt and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh, while addressing the organizational meetings in Ambala district, called for strengthening the party organization till the booth level, effectively taking the issues of public concern to the people and making the mass movements of the Congress more widespread. Executives of Ambala Rural and Ambala Cantt District Congress Committees, and leaders and workers of Ambala Cantt, Mulana and Narayangarh assembly constituencies participated in these meetings held on Sunday and Monday. During this, organizational activities were reviewed and the outline of upcoming programs was discussed in detail. Sanjay Dutt said that the aim of Congress is not only to expand the organization but also to become the voice of the people in every struggle. He asked the workers to reach every village and ward and spread the ideology of Congress, issues of public interest and campaigns of the party to the people. He said that a strong organization is the biggest force for public trust and democratic change.
Rao Narendra Singh said that the ‘Students’ Echo’ campaign being run by Congress is the just voice of crores of students and youth of the country. He said that the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and serious irregularities revealed in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations have made the future of the youth of the country insecure. Lakhs of students are facing mental stress and uncertainty, but instead of solving this serious crisis, the central government has been limited to only formal statements.
He said that the alleged irregularities in the donations collected in the name of construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya and the serious allegations related to it have hurt the sentiments of crores of devotees. It is a moral responsibility of democracy and public life to ensure complete transparency and accountability in any matter related to faith.
Rao Narendra Singh alleged that the BJP government at the Center is trying to break the elected representatives and leaders of the opposition parties through various types of pressure and inducements to weaken the democratic values. He said that political competition in a democracy should be based on public trust and not through misuse of power.
He said that the forced removal of Sonam Wangchuk from the protest site and lathi charge and tear gas shells on the students protesting peacefully at Jantar Mantar are a serious attack on democratic rights. In any democratic system, peaceful protest is a constitutional right of the citizens, attempts to suppress it through force are unfortunate.
In the meeting, the leaders called upon the workers to go among the public and strongly raise the issues related to youth, farmers, employees, women and common citizens and make the public relations campaign of Congress more comprehensive. He said that Congress will continue to fight with its resolve to raise the voice of the people from the streets to the House.
