After being found guilty in a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the District Collector has taken strict action and dismissed Patwari Jagveer Singh from government service. This action has been taken on the basis of the decision of the Honorable Sessions Judge, Special Court (Prevention of Corruption Act Case), Sriganganagar dated November 28, 2025, in which the accused was punished with two years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5000 and three years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 7000 under different sections.
An appeal was submitted by Jagveer Singh against this decision in the Rajasthan High Court, on which the High Court, by order of the Special Court, Sri Ganganagar, postponed the sentence till the final decision of the appeal.
