Chandigarh. Local residents are facing a lot of problems due to the accumulation of a huge pile of garbage in the Park Side area located near Ram Darbar Bus Stop under Ward No. 19. The life of people has become difficult due to the filth and foul smell spread in the area. To make the situation more serious, warehouses of many gas agencies are also located near this place, where a large number of people reach every day to collect gas cylinders. Here people have to stand in long queues for 3 to 4 hours. The most worrying aspect is that due to the proximity of garbage heaps and gas warehouses, there is a serious risk of fire at any time, which can lead to a major accident.
Social activist Arvind Singh has demanded from the administration that this problem should be resolved immediately. He said that garbage should be removed as soon as possible, arrangements should be improved around gas agencies and strong security arrangements should be made so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
