New Delhi, 11 September (). The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana began on 10 September 2020. This scheme increased the income of the farmer of Uttarakhand.
A video was shared on the ‘The Modi Story’ page of the social media platform ‘X’. It is also written that on 10 September 2020, the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) was launched. Farmers of Haridwar in Uttarakhand, Bhudev Singh, used to get income from traditional farming. During the Kovid period he came to know about this scheme. He started fisheries by building a pond and got a subsidy of Rs 1.76 lakh.
It has been written in The Modi Story that only the first year his income increased by a quarter to two lakh rupees. Today, he has doubled his earnings from modern farming and fisheries and his standard of living has also improved. Bhudev Singh still remembers the moment when he had a direct conversation with Prime Minister Modi, it was a precious experience of confidence and inspiration for him.
Bhudev Singh said in the video that I used to do traditional farming earlier, due to which my income was very low, which was not enough for a family. After that it was Kovid’s time, so I came to know about the Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana from a friend of mine. Then I obtained information. After that I went to the office of Haridwar Fisheries Department. He told about it in detail, which gave me information.
He said that after taking complete information, he dug the pond and started fisheries. After that a subsidy of Rs 1,76,000 was received under the Pradhan Mantri Fisheries Sampada Yojana. Now what is my income, it was an additional income of about one lakh rupees that year. This made my lifestyle a little change and after that I spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is a big thing for a farmer.
Bhudev Singh further said that by being inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now I can increase my income by changing my farming in a modern way and start my startup and I am able to generate good income with fisheries and new farming in a new way. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi very much for launching the Prime Minister’s Matsya Sampada Yojana.
