Ranchi, January 27 (). BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev has expressed his displeasure over Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi not wearing the North-East flag at the Rashtrapati Bhavan event. He said that Rahul Gandhi is insulting the country.
Speaking to news agency , BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev said, “Rahul Gandhi’s thinking has come to the fore. Foreign diplomats were ready to wear the Assamese patta, which is a very wonderful and wonderful thing of the North-East. If you are not wearing it, then somewhere you are insulting the country. Has Rahul Gandhi developed such an attitude towards the people of the North-East? Why is he avoiding wearing the Gamcha, the symbol of that region? This is a hatred. Shows the mentality of running and selling hatred.”
On the announcement of Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) to ban the entry of non-Hindus in Char Dham temples, Pratul Shah Dev said, “This is the decision of the Shrine Board and we do not have complete information about it yet. You can see that there are many places of Muslims also where people of other religions are not allowed to enter. So under what circumstances was this decision taken and when there is no consensus even among the committee members, then it would be better to wait.”
He further said that those who earlier used to talk at length on Muslims and minority issues are now saying that Muslims were never given due importance and they were only used as a vote bank.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP spokesperson said, “This is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary thinking that even if some countries keep imposing restrictions on you, you will have to find your markets. India is also a very big market for the European Union. Our spices were being exported to Europe since the 14th century. Now, this free trade agreement between the two countries and the European Union will yield great results.”
