Guwahati, December 21 (). Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Assam ended on Sunday. For this, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma bid a heartfelt farewell to the Prime Minister.
Assam Chief Minister’s Office said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a warm farewell by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at the conclusion of his two-day visit to Assam. On behalf of the public, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his guidance, support and unwavering commitment towards the development of the state. The people of Assam are eagerly waiting for his next visit.
Earlier, while addressing a public meeting in Dibrugarh, Prime Minister Modi said that there was a time when the fertilizers produced here (Assam) provided strength to the fields of North-East. Farmers’ crops were supported. When the supply of fertilizers became a challenge in many parts of the country, Namrup remained a hope for the farmers, but the technology of the old factories became obsolete with time and the Congress governments did not pay any attention. The result was that many units of the plant were closed due to this reason. The farmers of the entire North-East continued to be troubled, the farmers of the country also suffered, but the Congress people did not find any solution to this problem, they remained in their fun. Today our double engine government is solving the problems created by the Congress.
He said that Congress is still pushing anti-national thinking. These people want to settle the Bangladeshi infiltrators in the forests and land of Assam, which will strengthen their vote bank. They don’t care if you get ruined, that’s why they like Bangladeshi infiltrators better.
He said that the infiltrators were settled by the Congress and the Congress itself is protecting them, hence the Congress party is opposing the purification of the voter list. We have to save Assam from this Congress poison of appeasement and vote bank. I guarantee you that BJP stands with you like steel to protect the identity of Assam and the honor of Assam.
He said that today from seed to market… the BJP government is standing with the farmers. Money is being transferred directly into the account for farm work, so that the farmer does not have to wander for loan. Till now, about Rs 4 lakh crore has been sent to the accounts of farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. This year, two new schemes worth Rs 35 thousand crore have been started to help the farmers, which include PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Pulses Self-Reliance Mission. This will promote farming. We are working keeping in mind every need of the farmers.
