Chandigarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sonipat, Haryana on October 17, 2025. During his visit, he will gift developmental projects worth crores of rupees to the people of the state. This visit of the Prime Minister will provide new momentum and direction to the development of Haryana and will further strengthen the resolve of ‘Developed India – Developed Haryana’. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a meeting with officials of various departments in Chandigarh today and gave necessary guidelines regarding the upcoming program of the Prime Minister. Naib Singh Saini directed that all preparations for the program should be done in a timely and coordinated manner. He also reviewed the progress of the projects likely to be inaugurated and the foundation stone laid.
He directed the officials to finalize the event schedule, route plan, security and crowd management strategy and ensure that all infrastructure, venue preparations are completed within the stipulated time frame. All concerned departments should discharge their responsibilities with full seriousness and sensitivity.
The Chief Minister said that the general public should not face any kind of inconvenience to reach the venue, hence separate routes should be planned for the general public also. Parking arrangements should also be made near the venue. He directed that during the Prime Minister’s visit, special attention should be paid to security, traffic management, public facilities and other arrangements. He also gave instructions to ensure drinking water and sanitation arrangements at the venue.
Naib Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana has set new records of development in the last decade. Due to the effective implementation of central schemes, public welfare policies of the state government and transparent administrative system that promotes investment, Haryana is today among the leading states of the country.
The Chief Minister said that this visit of the Prime Minister is not only a proud occasion for Haryana, but it will also prove to be an important milestone in the development story of the state. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana is continuously moving forward on the path of progress. Due to the joint efforts of the Central and State Governments, there has been rapid development of infrastructure in the state, which has led to a significant increase in investment, employment and civic amenities. This visit of the Prime Minister will further strengthen the commitment of the Central Government towards the development of Haryana.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Dr. Sumita Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department A.K. Singh, Commissioner and Secretary of Housing for All Department Mohammad Shine, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department K. Makrand Pandurang, Special Secretary Personnel, Training Department Dr. Aditya Dahiya and Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Yashpal and other officials were present.
