Kolkata . BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has reacted to the alliance between Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM and Humayun Kabir’s ‘Aam Janata Unnayan Party’ in the West Bengal Assembly elections. He said that the public itself decides on political experiment. Asaduddin Owaisi and Dilip Ghosh will hold a press conference on Wednesday regarding the outline of the alliance. Earlier, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh, while answering the questions of journalists in New Town on Wednesday, said, “The public will decide for itself whom it will like or not.” He said, “Asaduddin Owaisi has been trying for a long time to get some success in West Bengal. Earlier, CPM also talked about an alliance. That alliance did not happen. Now he is trying that there should be an alliance with Humayun Kabir. If someone experiments, the public will decide for itself.”
When asked whether the alliance would be successful? On this, Dilip Ghosh said, “Let the party (AIMIM) get on the ground. It has never contested elections here. Although many parties have been successful, but the people of Bengal do not accept anyone very easily. They will have to work a lot and fight. Only then can the public accept. In a democracy, everyone has the right to contest elections and form a party.”
On the possibility of votes getting cut due to the arrival of Asaduddin Owaisi, Dilip Ghosh said, “Owaisi will not be able to cut the votes of BJP. Wherever any party remains in power, it is afraid of votes getting cut. The target of Owaisi and TMC are Muslim voters. The entire Muslim vote is currently with Mamata Banerjee. If there is any loss due to the arrival of Owaisi, then that loss will be to Mamata Banerjee only. There is no need to worry for BJP.”
The BJP leader also responded to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s allegations in which she said that there is an alliance between the BJP and the Election Commission. Dilip Ghosh said that Mamata Banerjee calls the court also the office of BJP. All these things are old things. Now Mamata Banerjee should handle only Bhawanipur, BJP will handle the rest of West Bengal.
On the Supreme Court’s comment on the IPAC case, the BJP leader said that whenever Mamata Banerjee has gone to the court, be it against the Election Commission, SIR or any other issue, all the cases have turned out to be negative for her. Because they do immoral things. Whatever weakens democracy, it is natural that the court is monitoring it.
Meanwhile, regarding Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against the Centre, Dilip Ghosh said, “He does not need to think much about the central government. It is powerful. Prime Minister Modi is making waves all over the world. The country is progressing. Rahul Gandhi should take charge of his party.”
