Patna, 21 September (). Patna, the capital of Bihar, is a historically famous city. The fallen mother Ganga, from the banks of this city, flows for centuries. The Ganges is not just a river, it is Mokshadayini for Indians. Every festival, especially on Chhath Mahaparva, seems to have such a glimpse of the culture and values of Bihar, which once seems to see that the great ruler Chandragupta Maurya, which ‘Akhand Bharat’ was founded by the great ruler Chandragupta Maurya, has descended on the banks of the Ganges river.
Some distance away from Patna is Vaishali, which is considered the first republic in the world. Bihar is also a venerable place for Buddhist, Jain and Sikhism. Surprisingly, the changing times of politics have more or less contaminated the cultural and historical utility of Bihar. Mother Ganga must have suffered from the kind of slogans and statements from opposition parties in Bihar for some time.
In fact, assembly elections are to be held in Bihar and one such statements were made and slogans were made by the opposition parties, which have established Bihar in the focal point of national politics. In 2014, when the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi was declared the Prime Ministerial candidate by the BJP, he chose Shiva’s city Kashi as the Lok Sabha constituency. At that time he said one thing, “Neither I have come here nor sent me; I have been called by mother Ganga.”
That is to say that a lot of water has been washed away in the Ganges river since 2014. The fallen Pavani Maa Ganga accepted the faith of crores of people in his lap, but politics is so ruthless that the boundaries of dignity were crossed for the same person, for whom Ganga is equivalent to mother. It becomes important to mention this episode that once again the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) made indefinite comments for PM Modi, in which his late mother was not left.
From the perspective of Bihar, such rhetoric is not acceptable in any form. Many such veterans have come out of Bihar in the field of politics, whose names are still taken with respect. Be it Karpoori Thakur or Jayaprakash Narayan, many national level leaders are currently doing politics. One of these names is also of Lalu Prasad Yadav, a supremo of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). In the program of Lalu Yadav’s younger son Tejashwi Yadav, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has accused him of making vulgar remarks against PM Modi.
The NDA says that indecent comments against PM Modi and his mother continue. Tejashwi Yadav, who is currently a ‘captain’ in the RJD, is accused of making controversial statements on his supremo Lalu Yadav.
Lalu Yadav used abusive language against Union Home Minister Amit Shah and on the other hand Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was once his colleague, was also targeted by him. On several occasions, he commented on Nitish Kumar and hurt the dignity of Bihar.
The way the Bihar assembly elections are being targeted by the RJD, the biggest face of the politics of the country and Bihar is being targeted, it has shown the ideological intelligence of Lalu Yadav’s party. It is worth noting that Lalu Yadav’s elder Lal Tej Pratap Yadav himself is angry about the current statement against PM Modi.
Tej Pratap Yadav said during a media interaction on Sunday that those using abusive words should be sent to jail. Strict action should be taken against them and they should be sent to jail immediately. We have said before and then say, abusing any mother is condemnable. Legal action against those who have used objectionable words are not only necessary, but also to maintain democracy and communal-social dignity.
Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jansuraj, is also included in the queue of those who protested like Tej Pratap Yadav. Both Tej Pratap and Prashant Kishore are looking for their existence in Bihar. Prashant Kishore says that the incident again exposes the RJD’s way of working. The character of Lalu Yadav’s party can never change. The people of Bihar have seen their reign closely, where katta, abuse, kidnapping and extortion were done. If the RJD returns to power, ‘Jungle Raj’ will definitely return in Bihar.
Amidst all this, an important question in front of voters is related to purity in politics. Lalu Yadav remained in power for a long time, for a few months his sons also got to suffer power, but Lalu Yadav and his party RJD remained on the issue of ‘Jungle Raj’ and ‘Development vs. waste’, is it possible to return to Bihar politics with these vulgar comments and slogans? If you look at the image of Nitish Kumar’s ‘Vikas Purush’ and ‘Good Governance Babu’, then there is definitely fear in the RJD camp.
The question is also that how much will we have to wait for the self -purification of the politicians of the city on which Patna is situated on the banks of the Ganges river? Ten years, twenty years, or never.
