Rajasthan government suspended Deputy Forest Conservator Gaurav Garg, departmental inquiry continues

Jaipur. Rajasthan Government has suspended Deputy Forest Conservator Shri Gaurav Garg (IFS) posted in Bhilwara with immediate effect. In the order issued by the Personnel (A-3/Investigation) Department, it has been stated that a departmental inquiry against the officer is under process, due to which this action has been taken.

According to the order, the state government issued the suspension order in exercise of powers under Rule 3(1) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969. During the suspension period, the headquarters of Shri Gaurav Garg has been fixed as Personnel Department, Government Secretariat, Jaipur. They have been instructed not to go anywhere without prior permission from their headquarters and to register their presence regularly in the attendance register located in the Personnel Department. The Personnel Department has directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Forest Department to send the complete documents related to the disciplinary action against Mr. Garg without any delay. Besides, instructions have also been given to serve a copy of the suspension order to the officer and send the receipt to the department.
During the period of suspension, they will be paid subsistence allowance equivalent to leave salary and admissible allowances.
Copies of this order have been sent to the concerned departments including Governor’s Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary, Treasury Officer for necessary action.
