New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held several important bilateral meetings on Tuesday during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. During this, he had detailed talks with Kyrgyzstan’s Defense Minister Major General Mukambetov Ruslan Mustafayevich. Rajnath Singh also held an important meeting with Belarus Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrinin. This meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been organized in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. In the meeting with representatives of various countries, the focus of the discussion was regional security, military cooperation and further strengthening of mutual relations. After meeting the Defense Minister of Kyrgyzstan, he said that this meeting was very useful and meaningful. He clarified that India and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan have a strategic partnership, based on shared values such as democracy, development, culture and rich heritage. Rajnath Singh also said that India attaches great importance to its relations with Kyrgyzstan and is committed to taking this partnership further. In fact, cooperation between the two countries extends to many fields. Defense cooperation has emerged as an important pillar in this. During this, discussions were also held on increasing cooperation in the field of military training, joint exercises and defense technology.
Apart from this, Rajnath Singh also held an important meeting with Belarus Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrinin. Regarding this meeting, he said that he was happy to meet the Defense Minister of Belarus and there were fruitful talks on further strengthening the defense cooperation between the two countries. In this meeting, new opportunities for cooperation in the defense sector between India and Belarus were discussed. Particular emphasis was laid on military equipment, technical cooperation and training and furthering partnership in the defense sector.
All these meetings clearly indicate that India is making continuous efforts towards taking defense and strategic relations with its friendly countries to new heights using the platform of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Earlier, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also met and talked to the Defense Ministers of Russia and China here.
After meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Rajnath Singh described the conversation as excellent and meaningful. This meeting has taken place at a time when security challenges are changing rapidly at the global level.
It is believed that the regional and international security situation was discussed in detail between the two leaders. Special emphasis was laid on pursuing defense cooperation, military technology and joint projects. An important meeting also took place between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and China’s Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun on Tuesday in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
