Sanganer elevated road and 40 MLD STP approved in JDA's executive committee meeting

Jaipur. The 260th meeting of the Executive Committee was held on Thursday in Manthan Auditorium under the chairmanship of JDA Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan. Necessary decisions were taken in the meeting after detailed discussions on various developmental and infrastructural issues.


In the meeting, post-facto approval was given by Mahajan to the proposed elevated road construction work under Zone-8 from Sanganer flyover to near Malpura Gate, via Choradia Petrol Pump. It is noteworthy that in order to solve the problem of traffic pressure and continuous jam in Sanganer area, the decision to construct elevated road from Sanganer flyover to near Malpura Gate via Choradia Petrol Pump, Jaipur and from Choradia Petrol Pump to Kalyanpur ROB was taken under the budget announcement for the year 2024-25. After a detailed survey of traffic movement/circulation in Sanganer area, it was found that traffic jams regularly persist on the said routes.
As per the suggestion presented by the consultant, it is proposed to construct a four-lane elevated road from Sanganer flyover to near Kalyanpura ROB and a two-lane elevated road from Choradia Petrol Pump to near Diggi Malpura Gate. It is estimated that approximately Rs 240 crore will be spent on this project. Upon completion of the project, there will be ease of traffic, time saving and reduction in pollution in Sanganer area.
Along with this, under sewerage strengthening in Sanganer area, approval was given for engineering, procuring, construction and commissioning (EPCC) and performance based works of 40 MLD capacity sewerage treatment plant based on Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) technology near Bambala area. This project will prove to be an important step towards cleanliness, environmental protection and sustainable urban development in the area.
Director Finance Suresh Verma, Director Engineering-II Ajay Garg, Director Planning Mrinal Joshi and Additional Commissioner Bhagchand Badhal were present in the meeting.
These decisions taken by the Executive Committee are important initiatives towards strengthening urban development and building an accessible, safe and modern Jaipur in line with the public welfare policies of the State Government.
