Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme - Portal will soon open for online application, Devasthan Minister gave instructions in the Yatra Steering Committee meeting

Jaipur. The process of online application for the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme-2026 of the Devasthan Department will start soon. Devasthan Minister Jora Ram Kumawat gave instructions for this in the review meeting of the Yatra Steering Committee of the Devasthan Department held on Tuesday at the Government Secretariat. Kumawat directed the officials to make necessary amendments in the portal of the Devasthan Department and start the process of online application as soon as possible.


For the successful implementation of the pilgrimage, a seven-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Devasthan Minister. In this, the chairman of the committee will be Devasthan Minister Zoraram Kumawat, while Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Additional Chief Secretary, Minority Affairs Department, Government Secretary, Devasthan, Government Secretary, Tourism, Principal Government Secretary, Medical and Health Department and Commissioner, Devasthan Department, Udaipur have been made members. The first meeting of this committee was held on Tuesday. In this, the Devasthan Minister also provided necessary guidelines to allow 50 thousand senior citizens to visit Pashupatinath Temple of Nepal through air-conditioned train and six thousand passengers through air travel.

The implementation of the budget announcements of the Devasthan Department for the year 2026 was also discussed in detail in the meeting. While instructing the officials to complete 100% of the schemes and works approved in the budget, the Devasthan Minister said that no work approved in the budget should remain incomplete. He instructed the officers of the department to prepare their action plan keeping the works approved in the budget on priority. He gave instructions for timely implementation of budget announcements and also directed to complete the work of last year’s budget announcements soon. Minister Shri Kumawat said that during the meeting, instructions were given to prepare a comprehensive action plan for arranging online darshan of morning and evening aarti in major temples of the Devasthan Department.
Government Secretary of Devasthan Department Shuchi Tyagi, Commissioner LN Mantri, Additional Commissioner Gitesh Malviya, Deputy Secretary to Government Alok Saini, ADC, Jaipur Pratham Ratanlal Yogi along with officials of IRCTC, Tourism, Medical and Minority Affairs Department were present in the meeting.
