Five youths molested a Japanese female tourist in Jaipur’s Amer area. She had gone to visit the hills around Jaigarh Fort. On the basis of CCTV footage, the police has intensified the search for the accused. Finding her alone on the hill, they surrounded her and performed obscene acts with her. SHO Gautam Dotasara of Amer police station said that the woman—who had come from Japan to visit Rajasthan—had reached Jaigarh Palace around 8:00 am on Sunday morning. She was going towards the Ganesh temple located near the palace, when five boys stopped her after seeing a deserted place on the way. After this the accused started doing obscene acts and molesting the foreign woman.
When the woman raised an alarm, the accused ran away. The woman, showing great courage, started screaming and ran to a security guard posted nearby. Seeing the foreign woman in distress, the guard immediately informed the police. Hearing the screams of the woman and seeing the guard coming towards them, the five accused fled from the spot. Suspicious seen in CCTV: This woman had come from Japan just 2-3 days ago to visit Rajasthan. In the footage captured in a local CCTV camera, the police have seen five youths doing suspicious activities while coming down the hill. Based on their behavior, the records of local miscreants and tour guides are currently being scrutinized.
