What did Shilpa Shinde say about returning to the show?
Speaking to ETimes, Shilpa Shinde said, “Honestly, I never thought that I would come back to the show. When I left the show, there were a lot of misunderstandings. Relationships are built over time, and I think it was destined. Fights happen even in families. Once I said yes, I didn’t think about action and reaction. I always listened to my heart.”
When Shilpa Shinde left the show, she accused the producer of sexual harassment. He had also lodged an FIR against the producer. The makers had also made many allegations against Shilpa, which included being unprofessional. Given these controversies, Shilpa was asked if people could question her decision to return to the show.
To this Shilpa replied, “At that time, a third party was also involved on behalf of the channel. They spread false rumors, which were accepted as true. A person tried to control me through a contract. I did not have the freedom to work much anywhere else. After building a career through years of hard work, when your character is questioned, it is very difficult to bear.”
Shilpa further added, “I believe that when two people are a part of something, and then a third party comes, such things happen. The people who were involved know what happened and who did what. After all this, I am back on this show, what could be bigger than this?” If today I am being welcomed with the same respect, then they also know that it was not my fault, because the show was going on.
Shilpa praised Shubhangi Atre
After Shilpa Shinde left the show, Shubhangi Atre played the character of Angoori Bhabhi for 10 years. Talking about him, Shilpa said, “It’s a good thing that he played this character for 10 years. It is not easy to maintain a daily show for so long. I salute him for doing the show for so many years. Now I am back in the show.”
