Behror. A special lecture on the subject of de-addiction was organized under the New Kiran De-addiction Center Scheme in the premises of Shri Dharam Chand Gandhi Government College, Behror. The keynote speaker of the program was Dr. Savita Goswami of Manthan Foundation, Behror. Dr. Vinay Singh Yadav, coordinator of Nai Kiran De-addiction Center Scheme, said that this campaign is an important initiative towards building a drug-free society by making the youth aware of the ill effects of drugs. He said that under this scheme, de-addiction centers have been established in various colleges of Rajasthan, where students are trained and motivated to spread awareness in their community. Keynote speaker Dr. Savita Goswami threw light in detail on the causes of different types of drugs, their side effects and measures to prevent them. He described time management, meditation and yoga as effective means to stay away from drugs.
Presiding over the program, Principal Dr. D.K. Singh called upon the students to not only stay away from drugs themselves but also to promote de-addiction campaign in the society. On this occasion, he also administered the oath of drug-freeness to all present.
In the end, Dr. Anita Raj expressed her gratitude to all the guests and participants. Mrs. Priyanka Yadav, Inderjit Yadav, Dr. Beena, Anil Kumar, Sapna Yadav, Arvind Kumar Rollania, Dr. Ajit, Rakesh, Hansraj, all the staff, volunteers and about 150 students were present in the program.
