Dausa. The havoc of speed was once again seen on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway late Saturday night. The speeding car collided with a truck, killing one person while two others were seriously injured. The cause of the accident is said to be a nap.
At around 2 o’clock in the night, a car coming at a high speed on channel number 6.8 of Colva police station area suddenly rammed into the truck driving behind. The collision was so severe that the front part of the car was badly damaged. As soon as the information was received, the Expressway Patrolling team reached the spot and sent the injured to the district hospital by ambulance. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared Kaushal Aggarwal (52), resident of Pungaon, Nuh (Haryana), dead. Considering the serious condition of two other injured, they were referred to Alwar.
According to the information, the three friends were returning after visiting Khatushyamji. The car driver dozing off while returning became the cause of the accident. The police conducted post-mortem of the dead body and handed it over to the family members.
After the accident, there was chaos at the spot for some time and the speed of vehicles on the expressway was also affected. The accident once again shows how important it is for the driver to be alert while traveling long distances.
