Jodhpur. The ‘Reverse Buyers Seller Meet’ of Handicraft Expo Jodhpur, organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts at the Trade Facilitation Centre, was held on Thursday under the chief hospitality of Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel. Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that under the able leadership of our Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is working committedly for industrial development and entrepreneurship promotion. He said that our government successfully organized the Rising Rajasthan Summit in the first year. He said that MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed in this summit, out of which work has started on MoUs worth about Rs 8 lakh crore. Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy
Patel said Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024 has been implemented. Besides, a target has been set to increase Rajasthan’s exports from Rs 83 thousand 704 crore to Rs 1.5 lakh crore by the year 2029.
Patel said that Make in India and self-reliant India are the basis of the economic strength of the country. These initiatives are giving a boost to domestic industries. He said that new employment opportunities are being created and India is becoming globally competitive.
Rajasthan Integrated Cluster Development Scheme
The Law Minister said that Rajasthan Integrated Cluster Development Scheme has been launched for the overall development of clusters in the handicrafts, handloom and MSME sector. He said that under the scheme, 6 projects have been approved at a cost of Rs 29.83 crore.
Chief Minister Small Industries Promotion Scheme
Patel said that under the Chief Minister Small Industries Promotion Scheme, loans worth Rs 1946.84 crore were distributed to 7 thousand 186 applicants and the benefit of interest subsidy of Rs 436.82 crore was given. He said that Rs 2,862 crore has been sanctioned by RIICO for setting up 31 industrial areas in various districts of the state.
Solar panel manufacturing park to be built in Kankani
The Law Minister said that RIICO is setting up a solar panel manufacturing park on 41 hectares of land in the Kankani industrial area. He said that Handicraft and Furniture Park was developed on 161.75 acres in Boranada Extension Industrial Area.
Panch Gaurav Yojana will give global recognition to local products
Patel said that Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 has been implemented with the aim of creating balanced and inclusive regional development and employment opportunities in the state. He said that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is discussing with the entrepreneurs in the pre-budget dialogue and their suggestions are being included in the budget. He said that under Panch Gaurav Yojana, one product from one district is being selected and that product is being promoted. He said that wooden furniture in Jodhpur has been included in Panch Gaurav, which will give global recognition to the handicraft industry of Jodhpur.
