T20 World Cup: India will clash with these three teams in Super-8, here is the complete schedule

New Delhi, February 20 (). The Super-8 round of T20 World Cup 2026 will start from February 21. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India has entered the second round of the tournament by winning four consecutive matches. The path of the Indian team in Super-8 will not be easy. There are three teams present in India’s group, which have been unbeaten in this World Cup so far.

In its first match of the Super-8 round, the Indian team will face South Africa on 22 February. This match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

South Africa’s performance in the first round of the tournament has also been amazing. The team has made it to the Super-8 by winning all four matches.

Team India will face Zimbabwe in the second match of the Super-8 stage on 26 February. This match will be hosted by MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chennai. Zimbabwe has reached the second round after causing two major upsets in the group stage itself. Zimbabwe had easily defeated Australia and then Sri Lanka. This is the reason why the Indian team will have to be very cautious with Zimbabwe.

Suryakumar Yadav’s team will face a tough challenge from West Indies in the third and last match of the Super-8 round. This match will be played at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata. Under the captaincy of Shai Hope, West Indies have been unbeaten in the group stage. Shimron Hetmyer and Rutherford have been in amazing form in batting. At the same time, the spin pair of Akil Hussain and Gudakesh Moti has proved to be an inexplicable puzzle for the batsmen.

The spin bowlers have troubled the Indian team a lot in the group stage. Despite playing three matches, Abhishek Sharma has not been able to open his account in the tournament yet. It remains to be seen whether the Indian team gives a chance to Abhishek as an opener in the next round or Sanju Samson is entered. Tilak Verma has made good starts in all the matches, but he has not been able to convert the good start into a big innings. Captain Suryakumar Yadav has batted well. Akshar Patel and Rinku Singh are looking for an opportunity. The performance of Team India’s bowlers has been excellent. Varun Chakraborty has taken a total of 9 wickets in 4 matches. Along with Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey has also performed impressively as a part-time fast bowler.
