Jodhpur.. The incidents of theft are continuously increasing in the city. In the latest cases, unknown thieves have committed a major crime by breaking the locks of abandoned houses in Mata Ka Than and Luni police station areas.
Prem Suthar, resident of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar of Mata Ka Than police station area, told that he was admitted in Nayapura hospital for the last six days. On Wednesday evening his wife had come to get food from home and went back to the hospital. When he returned home on Thursday morning, he found the lock of the main door broken. The thieves stole a Rakhri set worth about 3 tola, a nose ring worth 1 tola, a ring worth half a tola, a 40 gram silver anklet and a heavy silver kandora worth about 30 tola kept in the cupboard. Mata Ka Than police station has registered a case under various sections of BNS and handed over the investigation to ASI Papparam.
The second incident of theft took place in Luni police station area, where unknown thieves entered inside the house of Chimnaram Dewasi by breaking the locks. The thieves stole gold, silver jewelery and cash from here too and fled away.
Jodhpur Police has registered a case against unknown accused in both the cases. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas so that the suspects can be identified. These increasing incidents in the city have also raised questions on police patrolling.
