Manali. The weather has once again taken a turn in the hilly areas and it has become a center of attraction for tourists. A huge crowd of devotees has gathered at Anjani Mahadev Temple near Manali, where a 15-20 feet high natural ice Shivalinga has been formed automatically at an altitude of 11 thousand feet. Despite sub-zero temperatures, this ‘mini Amarnath’ shrine is attracting people. Devotees are reaching the Mahadev temple amidst bitter cold and snowfall for darshan and after seeing the self-made Shivling made of snow, they are considering it as a miracle of Mahadev. The confluence of weather and faith has won the hearts of tourists. The priest of the temple told that “The place is very important from the religious point of view because Saint Shiromani Baba Prakash Puri had come to this place with his followers. Every year an ice Shivalinga is formed automatically at this place and on this Maharaj had told through his inner vision that Mother Anjani had prayed for the birth of a child and God himself had appeared and blessed him with a child.”
He further said that Shivalinga remains in existence from 15th December to the month of February and the number of devotees keeps increasing every year to see this wonderful spectacle of nature.
The tourist who came to see the Shivling made of ice told , “I have visited Baba Barfani twice and now after visiting here, I feel that for the third time Baba has given me the opportunity to have darshan. The path to reach here is a bit difficult, but the power of devotion cannot stop anyone, and this is the reason that despite the slip and cold, devotees are continuously coming for darshan and the mind is very happy from inside.”
The group of women who came for darshan told that it took a lot of hard work to reach but after having darshan of Baba Barfani, all the tiredness went away. There is nothing more relaxing than the natural view here and the darshan of Baba. This is truly a paradise and one should visit it at least once.
