Muzaffarnagar Police in Uttar Pradesh has registered an FIR against a Muezzin (namaz leader) who threatened to behead a police inspector. A video of Muezzin has gone viral, in which he is threatening to behead the Inspector. Police have registered FIR on the basis of the video. The police is now searching for the accused Muezzin.
Two days ago, Muezzin Mohammad Irfan of Madina Masjid at Madina Chowk in Civil Lines police station area of Muzaffarnagar had accused Vinod Chaudhary, in-charge of Kachcha Sadak outpost, of abusing and assaulting him. He said that outpost in-charge Vinod had complained about the loud noise during Azaan and he was attacked. After the incident, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind workers submitted a memorandum to the SSP of Muzaffarnagar on Thursday.
Muezzin threatened to behead a police officer
Meanwhile, they submitted a memorandum to the SSP and demanded action against the police officer. While the police were investigating the case, a video of the mosque’s Muezzin Irfan went viral on social media. In the video, Irfan was narrating his ordeal to the workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, when he suddenly threatened to behead the inspector. Someone uploaded this video on social media.
Police started searching for the accused
This video started trending rapidly in the area. The video threatening to behead the inspector created panic in the police department. The police immediately registered a case against the muezzin and started searching for him. The muezzin is said to be absconding. CO City Muzaffarnagar Siddharth K. Mishra told that the police had received a video through an ex. In this video, a person is seen threatening to behead the inspector. FIR has been registered against him. Further investigation is going on in this matter.
