The spirit of education by abandoning evil practices: The family built a school room in the memory of Rampratap Meena.

Dausa. In this era of modernity, where the society is still struggling with old evils like death feast, a family of Piplya Chainpura village of Lawan block has set a unique example towards humanity and education. On the occasion of the second death anniversary of late Rampratap Meena, his family has shown a new direction to the society by constructing a modern classroom in the school.

After the death of Rampratap Meena, his wife Suja Devi and sons—Prakash Chand, Ram Khiladi and Mukesh Piplya—took a bold decision not to organize an expensive and socially stigmatized event like a death feast. Taking this positive thinking forward, the family has now constructed a fully equipped room in the Government Higher Secondary School, Pipalya Chainpura, so that the children of the village can get a better educational environment. This newly constructed classroom will be inaugurated on 27th April. Many dignitaries of the area will participate in the program, including MP Murarilal Meena, IPS Kishan Sahay, retired Colonel Baldev Singh Manav and famous Rajasthani folk dance artist ‘Deeprabhu Jodi’.
Family member Mukesh Meena, as a founding member of ‘Johar Jagriti Manch’, has been working at the grassroots level for environmental protection and eradication of death feasts for a long time. His service towards the society and his dedication towards education are being appreciated in the entire district. People believe that only such steps lay the foundation for real change in the society.
