There is good news for those traveling between Noida and Greater Noida. The construction work on the Hindon Bridge connecting the two cities is going to start next month. Setu Corporation has issued tenders and agencies can apply till January 2. With the construction of the road, thousands of people commuting every day will get relief from traffic jams.
The work of the bridge connecting Noida and Greater Noida on Hindon River in front of Sector 146 is already going on. Now that the structure of the bridge is almost complete, a two-level road will be built on it. It will cost about ₹67.60 crore (about $6.76 billion) to build this road. This work will be done by the agency selected by Setu Corporation.
Work on the bridge began in 2019.
According to officials, Noida and Greater Noida Authority are jointly building the bridge. When the project began in 2019, its estimated cost was around ₹64 crore (about $6.4 billion). Once completed, this bridge will provide direct and fast connectivity between the two cities.
Roads in sectors and villages of Greater Noida will also be improved.
Along with Hindon Bridge, roads in many sectors and villages of Greater Noida will also be improved. About ₹30 crore will be spent on this project. Work will start in the next two months. Interlocking tiles will be laid and the concrete road will be raised in Sunpura village in Greater Noida West. Roads will also be repaired and maintained in Dudh Lachhi, Roza Jalalpur, Roza Yakubpur and Achheja villages. Interlocking tiles will also be used to make drains in Salempur Gurjar village.
In the urban area, precast covers will be installed on drains on 60 meter wide road from S Platinum to LG Roundabout, 130 meter wide road till Jagat Farm and 130 meter wide road till T-point of Surajpur-Kasna Road. Apart from this, the service road on a 60 meter wide road in Sector 16 will be repaired and drain covers installed.
It will be easy to travel between Noida and Greater Noida. After the construction of this road, the people living here will directly benefit. With the completion of these works, commuting between Noida and Greater Noida will become easier, connectivity between villages and sectors will improve and the problem of water logging during the rainy season will reduce. This will also have a positive impact on the development and real estate of the area.
