Became a hero after a lot of struggle
Rajesh Sharma was born in Punjab but was brought up in Kolkata. During an interview, he himself told that before becoming an actor, he used to be a taxi driver. He then worked as a ferry operator. He used to do odd jobs in the morning and rehearse in the evening. After doing small jobs for 10 years, he joined the National School of Drama at the age of 17.
After learning acting in National School of Drama, he started working in theater and films. After this, he made his debut in the industry in 1996 with Gulzar’s film ‘Maachis’. After this the actor took a short break but continued working in Bengali cinema and TV.
Worked in big films
Till 2005, Rajesh Sharma did not do anything special in the Bollywood industry. Due to which he had to face a lot of financial problems. He had gone to Kolkata for some time. But later he worked in great films like Khosla Ka Ghosla, The Dirty Picture and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He also worked in many famous web series.
Rajesh Sharma had two marriages
But let us tell you that Rajesh Sharma likes to keep his personal life private. It is said that he married twice. His first marriage was with Bengali actress Sudipta Chakraborty. The two met during their theater days and got married. Divorced after 4 years in 2009. Then the actor married for the second time in the year 2011 with Sangeeta Sharma who likes to stay away from limelight. But despite two marriages, the actor does not have any children. Rajesh Sharma never told the reason for not becoming a father nor expressed grief over it.
