Three main reasons have been given for the tragic road accident that took place on Bharatmala Highway in Phalodi. These include overspeeding, overtaking and illegal eating on the roadside. 15 people, including 10 women, four children and the driver, died when a minibus (tempo traveler) collided with a trailer parked on the highway near Hanuman Sagar at 7 pm on Sunday. Two women were seriously injured.
All the victims were neighbors and residents of Nainchi Bagh area of Sursagar, who were returning from Kolayat in Bikaner district. Due to the news of the bus accident that took place in the courtyard of Nainchi Bagh of Sursagar on the night of Tulsi Ekadashi, the entire area was plunged into darkness. These people died in the accident:
Goti Devi (50), Sajjan Kanwar (60), Tina (40), Dishu (6), Urmila (55), Punj alias Pranav (10), Divya (23), Meena (53), Fateh Puri (32) and Madhu (45) died. Rudraksh, Sania (32), Geeta (50), Kush Sankhala and Mula Ram’s wife Rameshwari also died in the accident.
These are the three main reasons for the accident:
Many reasons for the Phalodi accident have come to light. According to eyewitness accounts and preliminary investigation results, this tragic accident was the result of negligence and system deficiencies. The main reason for this is that the maximum speed limit on Bharatmala Expressway is considered to be 130 kilometers per hour.
According to eyewitnesses, the tempo traveler was traveling very fast at the time of the accident. The driver did not see the trailer parked on the side of the highway and by the time he could see it, he lost control.
The second reason is said to be overtaking. It is being said that the driver was trying to overtake the vehicle moving ahead. At the same time, there was darkness around the trailer parked on the side of the highway, due to which he could not see the trailer and the collision occurred.
The third main reason is truck-trailers and dhabas parked illegally on the highway. Trucks are parked at various places on the Bharatmala Expressway because many dhabas are running without permission on the side of the highway. Drivers leave their vehicles on the road and go to dhabas. The same thing happened on Sunday evening and one death occurred due to a parked trailer.
