Honoring former students and Sanskrit preachers on his birth anniversary, said – Mishra ji was a great teacher who took thousands of students to government services.

Late Shri Sanatan Dharam Shastri Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, located at the sub-division headquarters, was the pioneer of Sanskrit education and the foundation stone of spreading Sanskrit in the area. The birth anniversary of Pandit Kalyan Prasad Mishra was celebrated with devotion, dedication and emotions. A large number of alumni, educationists, social workers and people associated with Sanskrit education were present in the function organized in the college premises. Recalling the contribution of Pandit Mishra in the function, the speakers said that due to his inspiration and tireless efforts, thousands of students took education from Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya and achieved notable positions in government services, which is a matter of pride for the region.
Kamal Nath Yogi, who was awarded the President’s Award, said that Pandit Mishra dedicated his entire life to the promotion of Sanskrit education. Due to his vision and hard work, this college became a center of hope for the students of rural environment. Yogi said that Sanskrit education is the soul of Indian culture. The works of Pandit Mishra proved that the path to bright career and government services can be paved through Sanskrit also. Committee Chairman and former Sarpanch Ram Vilas Sharma said that the region will never forget the contribution of Pandit Mishra in Sanskrit education. Secretary Dinesh Mishra presented the details of the educational work being done by the institution following his ideals. Many speakers including Niranjan Joshi, Giriraj Prasad Tiwari, Jagdish Prasad, Principal Kailash Chandra Sharma addressed. Principal Kailash Singh Sharma said that Sanskrit language glorifies the Vedic tradition, knowledge tradition and Guru-disciple relationship. He said, “Sanskrit is the mother of all languages. The need and importance of Sanskrit is continuously increasing even in modern computer science and technical fields. Many dignitaries including Mohanlal Sharma, Ghanshyam Sharma, Panchuram Ladnia, Govind Goyal, Mahendra Jain, Ramjilal Sharma, Arun Srivastava were present in the program along with Councilor Tekchand Maliya, Advocate Amit Sharma, Ramgopal Asika.
At the end of the ceremony Late Pandit Kalyan Prasad Mishra was honored by garlanding his portrait.
