Dausa. Police have arrested two female members of the chain snatching gang active in the Mehndipur Balaji temple complex. Police have also recovered two scissors-like cutters used for cutting chains from their possession. A report has been lodged in the police station against the accused Geeta (26) wife Sunny and Machhala Devi (28) wife Omi resident of Borai police station Kumher, district Deeg and investigation has been started. On June 27, policemen deployed in plain clothes detained these women who were doing suspicious activities in the temple premises. During interrogation, both of them admitted to committing theft by cutting gold chains of devotees at crowded religious places. Police Officer Sachin Sharma said that this is the second gang of pickpocketing and chain snatching in the temple area, which has been arrested.
