Udaipur: Congress's ruckus against fuel shortage and increase in gas prices, effigy of central government burnt at Delhi Gate.

Udaipur. Udaipur Dehat District Congress Committee today held a strong protest against the shortage of petrol, diesel and LPG across the country and the increase of Rs 60 in the prices of domestic gas cylinders due to the alleged wrong foreign policies of the Modi government at the Centre. In this demonstration organized in front of Shanti Ji and Anandi Ji Memorial located at Delhi Gate, Congress workers raised slogans against the Central Government and burnt effigies.

“Both engines of the double engine government failed” – Raghuveer Singh Meena Udaipur Dehat District Congress President Raghuveer Singh Meena, while leading the protest, launched a scathing attack on the BJP government at the Center and the state. He said:
“On one hand, the government is saying in the Parliament that there is no shortage of gas, while on the other hand, the agencies have stopped booking. Due to the failures of the Modi government, the budget of the common people has deteriorated. Both the engines of the double engine government have completely failed.”
Raghuveer Singh Meena further said that due to stoppage of commercial cylinder supply and skyrocketing prices, small restaurants, dhabas and halwais are on the verge of ruin, due to which the jobs of thousands of youth are in danger.

A unique scene was seen during the protest when former MLA Preeti Gajendra Singh Shaktawat along with Mahila Congress workers prepared rotis by lighting a stove on the road itself. Through this, he gave the message that due to the cost of gas, housewives are now forced to return to the era of smoke and stoves.
