Maldives has said that more countries should get a place in the United Nations Security Council and the council should be more transparency. Addressing the General Debate, Maldives Foreign Minister Abdullah Khalil has said, “Any serious improvement, the inaction of the Security Council will have to be removed.” Maldives Foreign Minister Abdullah Khalil said that reform should be started with a reorganized security council in which more countries get a place, in which small island developed countries get a seat in turn. As soon as it gets a seat in turn, the restructured security council, is transparent in its consultation and is responsible for its decisions. He further said, “We need a council that did not hide in the hidden vette.” UN general secretary The three -tier reform of the member countries should lead and the implementation of these reforms should be more focused. He said that the presence of the United Nations through reforms should increase – especially in small island developing countries; And the mandates should be made accurate. The Foreign Minister of Maldives said that reform is also about credibility, and “reliability, either survives or dies with confidence in multiplicity.” He said that beyond the national jurisdiction, on the conservation and continuous use of marine biodiversity of regions, the agreement should be applied under the United Nations Marine Law Conference. The commitments of the fourth international conference on financing should be “converted into concrete benefits for the islands and provided debt relief.”
