Mathura. A very sad incident has come to light from Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, where five members of the same family allegedly committed suicide. There is an atmosphere of mourning and panic in the entire area due to this incident. According to the information, a couple and their three children living in Khapparpur village of Mahavan police station area, mixed poison in milk and consumed it at night. When there was no movement from the house for a long time in the morning, the neighbors feared something untoward. He immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and found everyone dead. Police say that preliminary investigation has revealed that first the children were given milk mixed with poison and after that the husband and wife also committed suicide. However, the reason behind this dreadful step is not yet clear.
Police have started collecting evidence from the incident site and are interrogating family members and village people. All the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, so that the cause of death can be confirmed.
There is mourning in the village after this painful incident. Relatives and neighbors say that the family appeared to be normal, yet no one is able to understand what circumstances forced them to take such a drastic step. The police is thoroughly investigating the entire matter.
