A tragic incident took place in the famous park Zoo-Botanico Arruda Camara, known locally as Bica, in the Brazilian city of Joao Pessoa. According to media reports, a 19 year old boy lost his life due to his own mistake. This sight frightened everyone present there. Within moments, a seemingly normal day turned into chaos.
According to the people present there, this accident happened when the boy somehow crossed the security fence and entered the area blocked by the lions. It is not yet known why he took such a step, but as soon as people saw him inside the enclosure, they panicked and started shouting for help. Several videos, which are now being widely spread on social media, show the boy trying to climb a tree trunk inside the enclosure to distance himself from the lioness. Fear was clearly visible on his face.

After a while, his grip loosened, and he slipped on the ground, right where the lioness was. As soon as the queen of the jungle got a chance, she immediately attacked him. All this happened so fast that the man did not even get time to react. By the time zoo staff and security reached the spot, the boy had suffered serious injuries. Although many efforts were made to save him, he could not be saved and his death was confirmed. Immediately after the accident, the zoo administration closed the zoo to all visitors as a precautionary measure.
