New Delhi. Taking a major step towards comprehensive reform of the country’s examination system, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced the formation of a high-powered task force under the chairmanship of Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys and chief architect of the Aadhaar project. On this announcement of Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that we will give strict punishment to the culprits of paper leak. In a post on social media platform X, Amit Shah said that the Modi government follows the principle of continuous reform to safeguard the future of our new generation. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constituted a high-level task force under the leadership of Nandan Nilekani as part of the Modi government’s commitment towards comprehensive examination reforms. This task force will ensure that no one can violate the sanctity of our examination system.
The Home Minister said that we will give strict punishment to the culprits of the paper leak and ensure that no one dares to commit such a crime again.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that India’s youth is the biggest strength of the country and protecting their dreams, hard work and aspirations is the top priority of the government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again made it clear that the government is fully committed to providing a fair, transparent and reliable education system to every student.
He said that it is the priority of the government to take strict action against irregularities like paper leaks and make the examination system more secure and reliable through strong legal provisions. Earlier, the Prime Minister said that based on the report of this task force, steps will be taken soon to ensure the credibility, transparency and security of the upcoming examinations.
This announcement has come at a time when the students’ agitation across the country over alleged exam paper leak cases has ended after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In his video message released on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi said that the Central Government is continuously taking several steps to safeguard the future of the students. “Those who played with the future of students are in jail today. We have set up fast-track courts and are also moving towards bringing a new law with stringent legal provisions in Parliament,” he said.
