Chandigarh, July 26 (). Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Kewal Singh Dhillon on Sunday targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the paper leak and examination cheating cases. He said that the Mann government’s attempt to save its two ministers is clear evidence that it is promoting corruption and dishonesty.
He said that AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who once instigated the youth to protest during the protests in Delhi, is now completely silent on the paper leak and cheating issues in Punjab.
Dhillon said that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned keeping the future and moral responsibility of the students above his post.
He said that during his tenure many historic and major changes were made in the country’s education system, and those contributions will always be remembered.
On the contrary, Punjab ministers are refusing to take moral responsibility.
Referring to the cheating case in Faridkot Pharmacy exam, Dhillon said that the future of hundreds of students is at stake.
He stressed that the Punjab government cannot escape its responsibility by merely taking action against those who help in cheating.
He demanded that both State Health Minister Balbir Singh and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains should resign immediately, taking moral responsibility for this incident.
Referring to the Group-B paper leak case in Bathinda, the state BJP chief said that even after six months, the investigation has not reached any concrete result.
He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government is completely responsible for endangering the future of the youth of Punjab and dragging the recruitment processes into controversies.
State BJP chief Dhillon also said that despite claiming to have honest politics, the Aam Aadmi Party is actually being extremely dishonest.
He alleged that incidents of corruption, paper leaks and recruitment scams have increased continuously under the AAP government and said that the youth of Punjab are now demanding accountability from the state government.
