Jodhpur. The Bhoomi Pujan program was completed on Monday for the Western Rajasthan Industry Handicraft Festival 2026 to be organized from 25 December to 4 January at Ramlila Maidan (Ravana Chabutra Ground) of the city. In the Bhoomi Pujan, members of the organizing committee including Cabinet Minister Jogaram Patel participated in the puja with their families and prayed for the successful completion of the fair. In Bhoomi Pujan, Mahavir Chopra-Indu Chopra, Suresh Bishnoi-Madhu Bishnoi, Sudheendra Duggad-Meenu Duggad, Pankaj Bhandari-Usha Bhandari and Deepak Mathur-Sangeeta Mathur made offerings in the havan. The same MLA Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi, City MLA Atul Bhansali, Animal Welfare Board Chairman Jaswant Singh Bishnoi, former JDA President Mahendra Singh Rathore were present as special guests. Cabinet Minister Jogaram Patel said that for the last 35 years, the Western Rajasthan Industries Handicrafts Festival has continuously emerged as a major axis of industry, handicrafts and trade in the city. Like every year, in this event too, different handicraft producers from about 20 provinces of the country will showcase their products. It is not just a fair, but a platform to establish a relationship between business to business and business to consumer. Ghanshyam Ojha, outgoing national president of Laghu Udyog Bharti, said that conferences are organized on various topics related to industry and handicrafts like tax, new possibilities, new financial models, problems of entrepreneurs, government schemes and needs of entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs of Jodhpur and Marwar will get a lot of benefits from these conferences. Chief coordinator of the fair, Mahavir Chopra said that for the last one month, Laghu Udyog Bharti has been making efforts to make the fair grand and attractive with the help of the district administration. He said that it will be our endeavor that this time this fair is not only attractive to everyone but also is filled with Indian civilization and culture. Small Industries Bharati Province General Secretary and fair coordinator Suresh Kumar Bishnoi said that this time the theme of the fair has been kept on Operation Sindoor. The bravery and might of the Indian Army will be displayed during the fair, and for the first time, more than 800 stalls have been set up in the fair, in which local handicrafts and entrepreneurs have been given priority under Local for Vocal. On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, Additional Commissioner District Industries Center and Organizing Committee Secretary SL Paliwal, Pooja Surana, Nirmal Bhandari, former Rajsico President Meghraj Lohia, Bharat Dinesh, Radheshyam Ranga, Nirmal Gehlot, Mahendra Dave, Anurag Lohia, Sonu Bhargava, Bobby Purohit, Jitendraraj Lodha, Ashok Gehlot, Khemchand Khatri, Kanchan Lohia, Shilpi. Officials of Laghu Udyog Bharti including Agarwal, Mahendra Pitti, members associated with the fair organizing committee and administrative officers were present.
