Ajmer. The first day of the annual techno-cultural festival Epistemico-26, organized on Tuesday at the Women’s Engineering College, Ajmer, concluded with enthusiasm, energy and various activities. There was a lot of programs related to technical, cultural, literary and innovation throughout the day in the college campus. In this, the students participated enthusiastically and displayed their talent.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, the chief guest of the program, said in his address that the annual function of Women Engineering College is not just a formal event, but an inspiring platform for women empowerment and technical excellence. He said that he had the privilege of establishing North India’s first women’s engineering college in Ajmer and today that plant has taken the form of a banyan tree. Where a large number of girl students are moving towards contributing to nation building by getting education and becoming self-reliant. He expressed confidence that the students of this institute will present solutions to various problems of the society through research, innovation and technical knowledge. Shri Devnani said that a wonderful confluence of tradition, culture and technology can be seen in the institute. It is a source of inspiration for the state as well as the country. He said that events like annual festivals are moments of excitement and joy for the students, where their hard work and talent is recognised.
He said that women power has historical importance in India and Indian culture has given the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the world. Referring to the mantra of One World, One Earth, One Family and One Future given by the Prime Minister, he said that today India is becoming the center of attraction in the world and the whole world keeps an eye on India’s decisions. The youth of the country are the saplings of the future, on whom is the responsibility of building a developed India.
Devnani said that Rajasthan has immense potential in many sectors including solar energy and new opportunities are available for technology students. He called upon the girl students to study the problems of rural and urban areas and try to find their solutions through technological innovation. Inspiring the students to develop qualities like hard work, time management, discipline and patriotism, she said that women power will play an important role in realizing the resolve of a developed India. Woman is the pivot of creation, family and society and her respect is a symbol of India’s progress. He urged the institute to continuously strive to enhance and hone the talent of the girl students.
The program started with the inaugural session. On this occasion, banner rollout, helium balloon launch, lamp lighting and chief guest were felicitated. Various cultural programs presented at the inauguration ceremony, such as Rajasthani dance, group singing and Assamese duet dance, enthralled the gathering.
In this sequence, a certificate distribution ceremony was organized, in which the students who performed excellently were honored. At the end of the program, a memento was presented to the chief guest by the Principal and the first day ended successfully with the closing statement.
